Bop It Tetris is the 2013 successor to the Bop It Smash, being designed by the same developers and released by Hasbro. Bop It Tetris has four styles of play: Drop, Blast, Double Drop and Shuffle, with each level of marathon mode containing 2 stages. It has three actions: Slam It, Spin It and Slide It. The game does not command a player to do the actions, instead, there is a pattern of blocks on the target screen on which the player has to figure out which series of actions should be utilised to complete the puzzle.
Bop It Tetris has two screens that are used in gameplay. The Shift Screen is the 2x2 square which is used to turn the block before inserting them into the puzzle. The Target Screen is the 2x4 screen which displays the puzzle.
Blocks:
The blocks will be displayed on the Shift Screen and the Target Screen during gameplay.
Blue:
Blue blocks are inserted normally and have no gimmick. These are used in all stages of the game, except during bonus levels.
Red:
Red blocks will destroy any blocks they overlap on the Target Screen when inserted. A red block is always followed by a blue block except during the bonus round where only red blocks are present. Red blocks appear in the blast, shuffle and bonus levels.
Green:
Green blocks must be inserted before blue blocks. There will always be a blue block if a green block is present. Green blocks appear in the Double Drop and Shuffle levels.
